1. What is AHAM Cares all about?AHAM Cares is a fundraiser initiative set up in 2020, as part of our efforts to provide relief to various charity homes, non-profit organisations, and communities whose livelihoods were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Last year, we successfully raise a collective RM380,000 from the support of clients, employees, and the general public. The fund’s raised were donated to 13 different charity organisations.
Given the current situation and the ongoing lockdowns in place, we believe it is only right for us do our part again in lending a helping hand to affected communities nationwide. This includes extending aid for underprivileged groups through various approved charity organisations, as well as support to healthcare workers that are currently serving on the front lines. All proceeds raised from this fundraiser will be donated in full.
2. How much is AHAM Cares aiming to raise this year?
AHAM Cares is aiming to raise RM500,000 to support various approved charity homes and non-profit organisations, as well as aid to healthcare workers that are currently serving on the front lines.
3. Is Affin Hwang Asset Management contributing to the AHAM Cares fundraiser as well?
Yes. Affin Hwang Asset Management has committed RM250,000 to the AHAM Cares fundraiser this year.
4. How long will the AHAM Cares fundraiser run for?
The AHAM Cares fundraiser will be open for donations from 13 to 31 July 2021.
5. Which charity homes / non-profit organisations will be receiving these donations?Proceeds raised will go towards various communities whose livelihoods have been affected by the effects of the pandemic. This includes extending aid for underprivileged groups – such as the poor, refugees, and children’s homes among others – through various approved charity organisations, as well as support to healthcare workers that are currently serving on the front lines.

6. How will AHAM Cares allocate and distribute the proceeds raised?Proceeds raised will be progressively distributed throughout the duration of this fundraiser. This is to ensure approved charity organisations receive financial relief as soon as possible.
Allocations will be based on the organisation’s specific circumstances, degree of urgency, extent of outreach and other requirements that would better help them provide care and aid for their respective beneficiaries.
7. Can I choose to donate to a specific charity organisation?AHAM Cares pools contributions from various donors and distributes them based on every organisation's current needs and urgency. If you would like to support a particular organisation, you may reach out to them directly through their official websites or social media accounts.
8. Will my donation be tax deductible?Contributions are pooled from various donors and distributed to multiple charity organisations based on their current needs and urgency. As such, donations made
will not be tax deductible.

How To Contribute page to make a donation. Please note that we are currently only accepting donations made via bank deposits, online transfers, or DuitNow QR. We strictly do not accept donations in the form of physical cash.
10. Is DuitNow QR accepted by all banks and e-wallets?DuitNow QR is accepted by any participating bank or e-wallet that are registered under DuitNow. All you need is a participating bank’s mobile app or e-wallet app to scan the DuitNow QR to make payment. 12. Is there a transaction limit for DuitNow QR?Yes. This is subject to the payment limit imposed by your respective bank or e-wallet. For Maybank users, the limit is RM1,000 per day.
