The Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (“FIMM”) was recognised by the Securities Commission (“SC”) Malaysia as a self-regulatory organisation. FIMM plays a role in ensuring that the unit trust industry continues to grow, at the same time making certain that investors’ and the public’s interests remain as its main priority. FIMM will carry out the necessary investigation of any complaint of misconduct or non-compliance with any guideline or regulation by any Unit Trust Management Company (“UTMC”), Institutional Unit Trust Adviser (“IUTA”), Corporate Unit Trust Adviser (“CUTA”) or Unit Trust Consultant (“UTC”) that lodged to FIMM.

SIDREC is an independent corporate body established for the settlement of monetary disputes not exceeding RM100,000 between investors and capital market intermediaries who are its members such as stockbrokers, derivatives brokers, unit trust management companies and fund managers. SIDREC provides investors with free, fast, convenient and efficient avenue to refer your disputes for resolution.

The Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”) is a statutory body entrusted with the responsibility of regulating and systematically developing the Malaysia’s capital markets. It has direct responsibility in supervising and monitoring the activities of market institutions and regulating all persons licensed under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007. The Investor Affairs & Complaints Department of SC inquires complaints on improper conduct and other irregularities in the securities and futures markets to assess whether they disclose offences under the securities laws. You can direct your complaint to SC even after you have initiated a dispute resolution process with SIDREC.
