    The PRS #MerdekaBonus (“Campaign”) is hosted by AHAM Asset Management Berhad (formerly known as Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad) (“AHAM Capital”). The Campaign will commence on 1 August – 29 September 2023 (“Campaign Period”).

    Participation in this Campaign shall be deemed as acceptance to the Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) stated herein, as well as consent to the use of the Participant’s personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice which can be found on AHAM Capital’s website at https://aham.com.my/privacy-notice. Non-compliance with or a breach of any of these T&C may result in the disqualification of the Participant at any stage of the Campaign; and prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn, or reclaimed.

    Personal Data
    • The Participant affirms the accuracy of all information provided at the time of Campaign entry. Misrepresentation of any facts or personal particulars (deemed material by AHAM Capital) shall result in disqualification and / or the forfeiture, withholding, withdrawal, or reclaiming of any prizes won.

    Eligibility
    • This Campaign is open to all new or existing PRS investors of AHAM Capital.
    • All clients, consultants, employees of AHAM Capital, AIIMAN Asset Management Sdn Bhd, Bintang Capital Partners Berhad, and AccelVantage Academy Sdn Bhd (excluding those who invest via external Institutional Unit Trust Advisers and Versa Asia Sdn.Bhd.) are eligible to participate in this Campaign.
    • This Participating Funds of this Campaign is applicable to AHAM Private Retirement Schemes (“PRS”) only.

    The Campaign
    1. To be eligible for Campaign participation, the Participant must adhere to the requirements of the Campaign Mechanics within item 2
    2. Campaign Mechanics:
    • For every successful investment made with minimum RM1,000 per Participating Fund within the Campaign Period, participant will be entitled for 1% PRS Free Units.
    • Maximum investment is capped at RM10,000 per participant.
    • 1% Free Units will be credited to the same fund which participant invested of minimum RM1,000 investment during the campaign; the allocation is explained in greater detail in the following scenarios:
      i)  Participant A invested RM1,000 into AHAM Private Retirement Scheme Growth (“PRSG”) fund, hence 1% of free units worth RM10 will be credited into AHAM Private Retirement Scheme Growth (“PRSG”) fund.
      ii) Participant B invested RM3,000 and split RM1,500 into AHAM Private Retirement Scheme Growth (“PRSG”) & RM1,500 into AHAM Private Retirement Scheme Moderate (“PRSM”) respectively, the 1% free units will be split RM15 to each respective fund.
      iii) Participant C invested RM3,000 and split RM2,500 into AHAM Private Retirement Scheme Conservative (“PRSC”) & RM500 into AHAM Private Retirement Scheme Growth (“PRSG”) respectively, the 1% free units worth RM25 will be credited to AHAM Private Retirement Scheme Conservative (“PRSC”) fund only.
      Since participant C did not meet the minimum investment requirement of RM1,000 per fund, the balance free units worth RM5 will not be credited to the AHAM Private Retirement Scheme Growth (“PRSG”) fund.
    • Prizes will be fulfilled within eight (8) weeks after the end of Campaign Period on 29 September 2023.
    • For new investors, the RM10 PPA Account Opening Fee will be waived for every successful submission, but subject to PPA’s discretion.
    • In order for participants to be eligible for Campaign participation, each participant’s investment submission must be successfully processed and approved by AHAM Capital within the Campaign Period. Investments made after the Campaign Period will not be eligible for Campaign participation.
    • The following transaction will NOT be considered as a successful production for the Campaign:
      i)   The participant exercised their PRS investors’ cooling-off rights
      ii)  Switching from an existing investment to another PRS
      iii) Any refunded, cancelled, or rejected PRS sales
      iv) PRS investments made via SmartSavePlan and Private Retirement Portfolio
      v)  PRS investments made via Corporate Vesting or Salary Deduction

    Usage Of Personal Data
    • By participating in this Campaign, Participants agree to allow AHAM Capital to use, promote, and publish their identity for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensations or prior notice.
    • For the purpose of this Campaign, Participants agree to allow AHAM Capital to contact you using the personal contact information that has been provided, the information of which will be stored until the relationship between the Participants and AHAM Capital is terminated.

    Indemnity
    • AHAM Capital and its respective employees, directors, parent, affiliates, and representative assume no responsibility or liability for damages, losses, or injury arising directly or indirectly from this Campaign and / or acceptance or use / misuse of a prize. If applicable, all warranty claims with regards to a prize should be directed to the applicable manufacturer. Except to the extent that they may not be excluded by law, no representations, warranties, terms, or conditions that are not expressly stated herein apply to this Campaign or its prizes. All implied warranties of the prizes are excluded, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
    • All prizes are fully sponsored and paid for by AHAM Capital. Prizes are not refundable or exchangeable, and non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. AHAM Capital accepts no responsibility for any tax or other liability that may arise from the prize winnings. In the event when a prize is not available despite AHAM Capital’s reasonable endeavors to procure the prize, AHAM Capital reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal recommended retail value.
    • AHAM Capital reserves the right to add, amend, and remove any of the Terms & Conditions stated herein without prior notice and at its sole and absolute discretion.

Managing Director
Teng Chee Wai is the founder of Affin Hwang Asset Management Berhad (Affin Hwang AM). Over the past decade, he has built the Company to be the fastest growing and only independent investment management house in Malaysia’s top three, with an excess of RM47 billion in assets under management as at 31 December 2018.​

​In his capacity as Managing Director / Executive Director, Teng manages the overall business and strategic direction as well as the management of the investment team. His hands-on approach sees him actively involved in investments, product development and marketing. Teng’s critical leadership and regular participation in reviewing and assessing strategies and performance has been pivotal in allowing the Company to successfully navigate the economically turbulent decade.

Teng’s investment management experience spans more than 20 years, and his key area of expertise is in managing absolute return mandates for insurance assets and investment-linked funds in both Singapore and Malaysia. Prior to his current appointments, he was the Assistant General Manager (Investment) of Overseas Assurance Corporation (OAC) and was responsible for the investment function of the Group Overseas Assurance Corporation Ltd.​

​Teng began his career in the financial industry as an Investment Manager with NTUC Income, Singapore. He is a Bachelor of Science graduate from the National University of Singapore and has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Studies from City University in London.
